Ex-LAPD Officer Gets 11-Year Sentence For Teen Sex Acts

(AP) VENTURA, calif. A former Los Angeles police officer was sentenced Wednesday in Ventura County to 11 years in state prison for having sexual relationships with teenagers, including some male Explorer scouts.

Julian Stan of Simi Valley pled guilty to 15 counts of unlawful oral copulation and sodomy. He was an LAPD officer for 15 years and was an advisor to the department Devonshire Division's Explorer program.

Investigators say Stan had relationships with some Explorer scouts and with some teens he met through the MySpace.com

Stan reportedly set up meetings and then took the teens to his Simi Valley home. He resigned from the LAPD shortly after his arrest last July.
