(CBS) LONG BEACH (California) - Long Beach police released Monday a composite drawing of a man wanted for molesting two young girls.
A girl, 7, was approached at 8:30 a.m. Sunday near Orange Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway by a man who kissed her on the mouth and offered her $10 to kiss her buttocks, according to Sgt. David Cannan of the Long Beach Police Department. The child screamed and ran away, Cannan said.
At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, about a mile away, near Anaheim Street and Daisy Avenue, a man approached a girl, 11, lifted her skirt, grabbed her buttocks and made a lewd comment, Cannan said. The girl ran home, Cannan said.
In both cases, the suspect was described as Hispanic, in his late 20s, with black hair, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was clean-shaven and wore a black shirt with white printing and black pants, Cannan said.
The Long Beach Police Department said Monday they are developing a composite sketch based on accounts from the two children accosted. Anyone with information about the suspect was asked to call Long Beach police at (562) 570-7368.
