This is the fact plain and simple. A DOJ recidivism report done over a period of 3 years is not an accurate reflection of true recidivism. Nor does the DOJ recidivism report address the percentage of new sex crimes committed by either an RSO or a non-RSO.

But the new Washington study does. Yes, not including sex offenses that only result in probation or other penalty, ONLY counting those that result in prison 19% of all NEW sex crimes are committed in Washington state by someone who is ALREADY on the registry.

An Urgent Call to Support the Well-Being of Children and the Rights of Us All

1. Abolish all provisions of state and Federal sex offender registries that publicly shame offenders. There should be no internet or other public posting of the identity, photograph, address, workplace or personal information of any offender.......
   In cases of genuinely violent sex crimes, especially against young children, and with a specific finding of a likelihood to re-offend, registration may be required, but information will be shared only among police officials.........
   Strong penalties should be levied against police or others privy to the registration information who violate the privacy of the offenders



2. Abolish all life-time civil commitment for sex offenders who have completed prison sentences and/or parole and probation
   In cases of violent offenses and specific findings of a likelihood to re-offend, carefully constructed court hearings, with medical advice and full due process, should determine if the person may be further incarcerated, and then only for a short time and with regular review



3. Stop public vilification and demonization of sex offenders. Oppose the use in the media or by public officials of obviously pejorative language with regard to offenders. Obligations and Boundaries

Have you ever noticed how similar the rhetoric of sex offender activists and pedophile activists is?

I have. I've noticed it a lot.

Of particular interest is their mutual desire to abolish age of consent laws. We don't need to ask why, we know why, don't we? Instead, let's talk about their reasoning.

On the one hand you have the pedophile group who say that children should be able to make their own decisions. We have Unico who says:

And here we have Lindsay Ashford being interviewed on the radio. What does he say about that issue?

Scott: Do you think that a 5 year old grasps what's going on well enough to be able to consent to sexual activity?

Lindsay: A 5 year old understands friendship. A 5 year old understands affection.

Scott: So can a 2 year old?

Lindsay: A 2 year old understands pleasure.

Scott: So they can consent to sex?

Lindsay: They can consent to pleasurable activity

Scott: Can a 6 month old do that?

Lindsay: I'm sure that 6 months old also have nerve endings and understanding and an understanding of what is pleasurable to them, yes

Scott: So a 6 month old can consent to sex

Lindsay: A 6 month old can consent to activity that it finds pleasurable

What does the petition we've talked so much about say? The one Jan Kruska and so many of her activist associates signed?

"Support broad sex education for children, and empower them to make their own decisions and stand up for their rights"

It then goes on to define 'children'

"Children should be defined as persons under the age of puberty."

And yes, many RSO activists signed it. So where do you draw the line? As far as age of consent goes? Is it 18? 16? 14? And with the age of consent law in place whatever that age is, what do you do when someone breaks that law? Slap them on the wrist? What I DO know for sure, is that the activists who are pushing for abolishment of age of consent laws and abolishment of punishment and registration for sex offenders were NOT convicted of having teenaged consensual sex. Their crimes were far worse than that and they are further exploiting children by trying to argue that the very RARE case of teenagers who end up on the registry is representative of their entire population. The vast majority of teens who find themselves convicted of a crime are not on the registry because of a consensual act. They may be listed as statutory rape, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it was a plea deal that gave them that listing.

Furthermore, if the crime was a felony charge, and the offender plead guilty and accepted a plea deal reducing the conviction on the books to a misdemeanor. Does that mean their crime was less than when they committed it? Absolutely not. The actual crime remains the same, but their legal maneuver reduced their penalty.

Let's look at an example of the propaganda. Jan Kruska said last year on a podcast with Tom Madison, that 95% of those on the registry are not dangerous people. She says they were convicted for things such as drunken mooning, or children "playing doctor". Does anyone know where she got this made up "fact"? Or how about Tim from Sosen, who says that 73% of all offenders on the sex offender registry committed their crimes against someone who was over the age of 18, while the fact is that 87% of victims were UNDER the age of 18. Why does Tim say that 40% of offenders were under the age of 18 upon conviction while the true number is that less than 10% were minors? Why would these people lie to you in an attempt to bring about social change?

Here are a couple of things you can do besides just hit and miss searching on a registry. Go to the Illinois sex offender registry and download it in entirely into an Excel document. Sort and resort by the information that's on there. Say for example the age of the offender at the time of conviction along with the age of the victim. It's quite interesting. Did you know that the average age at conviction was mid thirties?

Georgia is another state that allows you to download their registry although it doesn't list the age of the victim. What you'll find is that the average age at conviction was 32 years old. You'll also find that less than 10% of those registered in Georgia were under the age of 20 at conviction. And in fact, at the present time in Georgia there are only 39 offenders under the age of 20. Even more interesting is the fact that 4 months ago there were a total of 70 teenaged sex offenders in Georgia. If these new laws are soooooo "draconian", if they are sooooo over broad, why is that number going DOWN instead of UP?

It's because it's not true what they say. It's also not true when they say their primary interest is child safety, and a desire for the laws to be 'effective'. The real truth is they are all pissed off sex offenders who don't want to accept responsibility for their actions. Tom Madison proved that when he rallied to gain support for releasing violent repeat sexual predators from their court imposed civil commitment. His primary interest was certainly not safety, his concern was the sex offenders wasting their time and the cost to non-sex offenders. LOL Well he DID say that after all.

And let us not forget one of the ring leaders of the RSO activists. Jim Freeman, co-founder and executive director of SoHopeful. Read more about that HERE, read also how Cheryl Griffith tried to cover it up.

And while you're at it, read what Dr. Gene Abel had to say from a study he did which included 16,109 adults who admitted sexually molesting at least one child.

40% of child molesters, who were later diagnosed as having pedophilia, had molested a child by the time they were 15 years old. An estimated 88% of child molesters and 95% of molestations (one person, multiple acts) are committed by individuals who now or in the future will also meet criteria for pedophilia. Pedophilic child molesters on average commit 10 times more sexual acts against children than nonpedophilic child molesters.

There may be innocent people imprisoned for murder who truly are innocent. But we don't lobby to abolish all laws regarding murder as a result. The same is true for sex offenders. ***IF*** these activists motives were truly about teenagers, THAT is what they would be addressing. But they are only further exploiting kids to further their own agenda. Very, very few teenagers are convicted for having consensual sex, it is rare, and it is the exception. But adults convicted for manipulating young teens is far too common. We understand this completely. They don't.

A Profile of Pedophilia Part 1

Nigel sure does like this article published by the Mayo Clinic. I can't figure out for the life of me why though. Maybe he just doesn't understand it? Or maybe he just obsessively collects anything that has the word pedophile in it as though it were some sort of trophy. On the other hand, maybe his pathological need for attention leads him to do those things. In any event, here it is.

Released in April of this year and co-authored by Drs. Ryan and Richard Hall, A Profile of Pedophilia: Definition, Characteristics of Offenders, Recidivism, Treatment Outcomes, and Forensic Issues is in response to the increased public awareness of pedophilia and to educate physicians regarding the issue.

So, what's in it exactly? Nothing that could help Nigel. Nothing that could help any of them actually. Let's look at some of the highlights which interestingly enough reflect our position on the issues here at AZ.

It includes the types of sexual acts pedophiles may engage in with children listed by types of paraphilias...exhibitionism etc.

Generally, pedophiles do not use force to have children engage in these activities but instead rely on various forms of psychic manipulation and desensitization (eg, progression from innocuous touching to inappropriate touching, showing pornography to children)

A US Department of Justice manual for law enforcement officers identifies 5 common psychological defense patterns in pedophiles:

1. denial "Is it wrong to give a child a hug?"
   
2. minimization "It only happened once"
   
3. justification "I am a boy lover, not a child molester"
   
4. fabrication "the activites were research"
   
5. attack "character attacks on the child, police etc"
   

Sound familiar?
The article continues with diagnostic criteria for pedophilia and gives this information from a study by Gene Abel

It then talks about categories of pedophiles, exclusive or nonexclusive and homosexual, heterosexual or bisexual.

Heterosexual pedophiles, in self-report studies, have on average abused 5.2 children and committed an average of 34 sexual acts vs homosexual pedophiles who have on average abused 10.7 children and committed an average of 52 acts. Bisexual offenders have on average abused 27.3 children and committed more than 120 acts. A study by Abel et al of 377 nonincarcerated, non–incest-related pedophiles, whose legal situations had been resolved and who were surveyed using an anonymous self-report questionnaire, found that heterosexual pedophiles on average reported abusing 19.8 children and committing 23.2 acts, whereas homosexual pedophiles had abused 150.2 children and committed 281.7 acts.

These studies confirm law enforcement reports about the serial nature of the crime, the large number of children abused by each pedophile, and the underreporting of assaults. Studies that used self-reports and polygraphs show that pedophiles currently in treatment under report their current interest in children and past behaviors

Wonder why they would under report? Is this article saying that's typical behavior for a pedophile to...what....lie?

Then it goes on to discuss incest:

Federal data show that 27% of all sexual offenders assaulted family members. The study by Abel and Harlow found that 68% of “child molesters” had molested a family member; 30% had molested a stepchild, a foster child, or an adopted child; 19% had molested 1 or more of their biologic children; 18% had molested a niece or nephew; and 5% had molested a grandchild

Let's look at that a moment, as one of the favorite "statistics" that pedophiles love to toss around is that 90% of all child molestations are not committed by pedophiles. They got that information from an unethical journalist, but claim it came from an expert in the field. David Alway aka Lindsay Ashford is the one who started that deceitful propaganda, while all the little pedo heads nodded in unison as it spread like wild fire through their community. Having witnessed Ashford repeat that statistic with my own eyes, and having seen the media fail to follow up with that, you have to wonder why. Why do they allow that statement to stand? Because they don't know....it doesn't sound right, no but not having devoted their life to the issue well no, they haven't read the literature.....It's not pleasant reading that's for sure. They know it doesn't sound right but they have a creepy little pedophile sitting in front of them spouting off statements as FACT and the result is that the statement ends up hanging there in mid air. This is what they want.

Can't you just see Lindsay now? Digging, digging deep down into the bowels of the internet to find one sentence......NOT backed up by what the author actually said I might add and suddenly it's EVERYWHERE! Pedophiles are all aware of this statement. Lindsay even edited Wikipedia and added it there. Just goes to show you that something doesn't have to be true to make it into a Wiki entry. Yet only a handful can tell you where it came from and not a single one of them will be honest with you and tell you that it isn't true after the deception was uncovered HERE

The other little trick they try to pull (and unfortunately it worked on pedophiles) is to try to claim that the difference between a situational versus preferential means something different than what it really means. These were two terms coined by Ken Lanning to aid LEA in understanding how to investigate CSA cases. Concerning the above they routinely fail to understand when they make the statement that most abuse is committed by family members, is that number 1 that's a false statement, number 2 just because someone is committing incest does not mean that they are not a pedophile. The studies they link to showing the numbers of abuse do not address the question of whether or not the perpetrator is a pedophile. And in fact Ken Lanning stated in his report that this was one of the biggest mistakes law enforcement make when investigating a case involving incest when they assume that there are no other victims but one.

I'll have to come back to this Mayo article later as there is simply too much to fit into one post. I do think you will find it valuable reading though should you care to take the time with it. It includes heavy referencing of the work of Dr. Gene Abel who conducted one of the largest, most comprehensive studies to date and was subsequently labeled a crackpot by none other than the dad-beating boy-luster BlueRibbon. It also references the expert Ken Lanning who was libeled and defamed by a child predator known as Lindsay Ashford....The result being? Now the entire pedo community believes the great Lindsay lie.

This is just one more example of the dangers of pedo congregation, and I'll leave you with a perfect example. We talked about an Australian report HERE, we explained how pedophiles had misinterpreted that report........there is no doubt about it. And yet HERE we have JD420 stubbornly continuing to make the same pedo-lie to new people. Pedo activism....purposefully deceiving....proliferation of lies with a sinister ulterior motive---gaining sexual access to children.

What's The Big Deal?

The number of registered sex offenders living in Dorset has risen by nearly 40 per cent in three years, says Jane Reader of the Daily Echo.

Statistics released by the government today show there are more than 500 violent and sexual offenders being monitored across the county, 379 of whom are on the sex offenders register.

The numbers were revealed as part of the MAPPA (Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements) annual report.

It shows the numbers on the register have steadily increased from 273 in 2002/03 to 333 in 2003/04, 352 in 2004/05 and 379 in 2005/06

The police say that this doesn't necessarily mean there are more offenders, just that more are registered and being monitored.

Detective Chief Inspector Ivor Graham of Dorset Police who said only 28 of the 526 offenders under their care are deemed to be so dangerous that they need high-level monitoring and active multi-agency input.

The figures are released just days after a convicted sex offender was warned he would be locked up for life after he was convicted of abducting a six year old girl from her bath and raping her in North Tyneside.

Peter Voisey, 35, who already had a conviction of sexually assaulting a child, dumped his victim naked on the street.

Sounds positive, right? Only 28. Of course, you might think different if your child was a victim of just one of those 28. One child, one life, one soul.

And you must also consider the findings of Dr. Gene Abel:

Pedophiles commit more than 10 times as many sexual acts against children as do non-pedophile molesters. On average, a molester with pedophilia commits 70.8 molestation acts.

If only 3 of those 28 sexual offenders were paedophiles, they could collectively be anticipated to perpetrate more than 200 molestations.

That is a big deal and merely one of the many reasons why the registries and intense monitoring are so important.

Shutting Down a LIAR, again...

JohnDoe420, known around these parts as the forgettable JD, has a little problem. (Shhh I don't think he knows). You see, he falls a little short in the thinking department. Now while we all know he's a pedovore, AND he likes 'em young (as in 6 months old).... everyone may not be aware that he's practically illiterate. He cannot process and analyze information correctly, though goodness knows he'll give it his best shot, it's not really saying much, but what's even more telling is that he requires the assistance of a 'friend' and even when the two of them put their noggins together they STILL can't get it right.

Let me explain. Pedofreak Autumn used a link to a study .... he analyzed the statistics and concluded that 80% of all child sexual abuse was committed by the parents. He simply misunderstood the results. He applied neglect stats to child sexual abuse stats in the same manner as olive freak did a couple of months ago. So I clarified this particular error on their parts once again. I asked if they deceive on purpose? Or perhaps they are stupid??

I got an answer, oh boy did I. JD rides in to save the day on his high horse. He declares that he's "Shutting down a liar, again....." (me) So nevermind the fact that he's never shut me down for the first time, a second time or any time for that matter. He's never shut AZ down, or proved me or any one of us team members at AZ to be a liar.... He proceeds within one post to call me personally a LIAR a total of 10 times --while quoting me--as quoting the 2004 report which was quoted by Autumn and instead linking to the '99 report himself. Me? Liar?


So let's reiterate.... he called me a liar 10 times, he claimed that I (and AZ) are trying to protect child abusers, he claimed that I am trying to HIDE FACTS about domestic and intrafamilial sexual assaualt.... all this from the slithering PRO CONTACT PRO ABOLISHMENT OF AGE OF CONSENT LAWS pedofreak activist who is despised by at least 90% of his own community. The pedovore who is sexually attracted to 6 month old babies and insists they can give him permission to do what he does.

Well, alrighty then. All of this because I posted a link to a study that they had already linked to but conveniently left out this particular chart.

Would that also be a lie? Would that support the notion that I'm attempting to HIDE EVIDENCE within the vast expanse of the internet from which I first retrieved it?

You always have such a way of making my work easier. Those are some awesome studies you referred to in your condemnation of Gene Abel. I can't quite figure out why you gave them to us like that though. It's obvious from your wording that you copied and pasted from the abstract. I suppose you must have been using Google Scholar maybe? But, that's neither here nor there. Accept it as a future warning, or not. Naturally the choice is yours. But, Jillium, you can't read the abstract and then try to fake everyone off that you read it. Just doesn't work like that.

Let's start here... Lowenstein 2006 Aspects of Young Sex Abusers—A Review of the Literature Concerning Young Sex Abusers What was this paper actually about?

Lowenstein: It is becoming increasingly important to identify adolescents who may sexually abuse children. The purpose of identifying potential and real sex abusers is in order to protect potential victims and to improve the ongoing life chances of alleged perpetrators.

Frankly there's so much stuff in Lowenstein that I can use against the pedophile 'cause' that I could go on for days, so I'll try to sum it up like this

Concerning the Abel Assessment for Interest in Paraphilias (AAIP), the results indicated the need for further refinement of this tool according to Smith and Fischer 1999. This was confirmed by Bonner et al 1998, who considered it imperative that further tests were developed that were more accurate in the assessment of adolescent sexual offenders to indicate risk of re-offending.

Lowenstein also noted the works of Hunter and Lexier 1998, who noted that the evaluation and treatment of juvenile sex offenders represented an area of practice fraught with clinical, ethical and legal complexity. Every study that Lowenstein considered said basically the same thing.........

No one single test is infallible and must be used in conjunction with other assessment tools. The same thing that Abel himself said.

Lowenstein sums up with this:

Treatment, particularly of juveniles, as opposed to incarceration, should be considered paramount. Prevention from an early stage being the goal in order to best protect the general public.

OH MY, but the pedophiles don't want incarceration!! And the pedophiles don't want assessment, or treatment or anything except our children.

And let's not forget Fischer and Smith (1999)who wrote:

The AAIP is a promising instrument based on a sound idea. The theory behind it is reasonable, the technology available, and the structure for further research in place. Further refinement is necessary so that its use may become a reliable and valid means to promote appropriate treatment of sexual offenders and a means to protect potential victims.

Now obviously Jillium thinks these scientists have dismissed Abel's assessment tool, but that's simply because he didn't read it or didn't understand it. They not only praised it but offered suggestions for how to improve on it. The premise of the AAIP was not that it was inaccurate etc but there were a few very specific things they thought should be changed to make it more reliable across the board. i.e. 42 images rather than 22. Images of nude children rather than clothed. More baseline data and a better way to record viewing times. ETC

Or rather, he calls it a wise reivew of Dr. Gene Abel over on that nothing blog. He has lots of tidbits of *ahem* wisdom, such as

Of course I would imagine that would depend upon whether you were the pedovore getting your kicks, or the child getting raped....as to which one is worse.

Or like Bill Glaser said, the goal of treatment is not a happy client, but rather safe children.

Crake goes on (and on and on) about Abel's plan for identification and treatment, however, guess what you guys? It's not true. Either Crake is an outright LIAR or he can't read.

Next he has a comment from Autumn. Autumn is a new name around these parts, but not exactly new on the scene, apparently thinks we can be faked about it.....*wink wink*

So what Autumn does is give some "FACTS" from the US Department of Human Services. What's interesting here is that these are the same "FACTS" that olive freak tried to give. So here ya go, you mentally challenged 'individual'

These are statistics about child abuse in general, these are not specifically about child sexual abuse. You can't discuss whether or not parents or pedophiles are the ones committing the majority of CSA and say 80% are committed by parents!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*! When the actual statistic is that 80% of child neglect are committed by parents or similar. And only 2.6% of CSA is committed by parents, and IMPLY they are one and the same. They are not one and the same. So did you Autumn share the statistics with the intention to deceive, or are you just that plain stupid?

Some of you may recall the exchange here between members of this blog and paedophile Jillium. Now Jillium was rather upset because we referred him to the work of Dr. Gene Abel. Specifically, his findings that

pedophiles molest 88% of all victims and commit 95% of child molestations.

Clearly this is in direct contradiction to the spin the paedophile community relies on. So to counter these facts, Jillium has made a series of comments which can be found at the above link. We will now address these issues in turn with reference to the website Jillium has supposedly read.

His treatment outcome study demonstrated that when treatment focused first on specific techniques to directly lower the offender's sexual arousal to children, it was most effective. Those techniques, along with an option of medical intervention for the most dangerous and both a strong relapse prevention component and a surveillance component, proved 96% effective in stopping subsequent sex crimes.

I Was Challenged Part 2

Jillium (a frequent pedophile visitor to AZ) isn't aware of the amount of information that's out there. He likes to quote people who are quoting people who are quoting unethical researchers who manipulate data for their own purpose.

He tries to challenge me. I prefer to take it as a dare. So, here ya go Jillium, read it and weep.

I'm going to give you some statistics from a study done by Gene G. Abel. For those of you who aren't aware, he's one of the most respected in this field, his work going back over two decades, the most often referred to by all sex researchers, and the most widely published.
The following are from his book The Stop Child Molestation Book 2001.

Dr. Abel's study sample included 16,109 adults who admitted sexually molesting at least one child. His demographics matched those of the general population in terms of age, ethnicity, religious affiliation, marital status, educational level and socioeconomic status. For the sake of space I'm going to give you the highlights of this large scale study.

Pedophilia is the most significant cause of child molestation.

People witih pedophilia molest 88% of child sexual abuse victims.

68% had molested a child in their family, defined as under the age of 13 and either a biological child, stepchild, adopted child, foster child, niece, nephew, grandchild.

40% molested children of their friends or neighbors. 24% of men molesting children in their family also molested children of friends and neighbors.

Only 10% molested a stranger.

Only 1% of molesters were female.

Of the men in this study, the pedophiles molested 88 percent of the children which totaled 28,419, as compared to the 12 percent or 3,761 for non-pedophiles.

Pedophiles commit more than 10 times as many sexual acts against children as do non-pedophile molesters. On average, a molester with pedophilia commits 70.8 molestation acts. On average, a molester without pedophilia commits 6.5 acts. This group of pedophiles committed 95 percent of the acts for a total of 171,973 versus only 5 percent of the acts for non-pedophiles.

The number of child victims and acts per molester depended on whether the molester targeted girls, boys or both. Those molesting only girls averaged 5.2 victims and 34.2 acts. Those molesting only boys averaged 10.7 victims and 52 acts. Those molesting both averaged 27.3 victims and 120.9 acts.

While many more men molested girls, the men who molested boys averaged double the number of victims.

47% of male molesters had been molested as a child.

The number of victims also varied depending on whether the molester had himself been molested as a child. The never-abused molesters averaged 7 child victims while abused molesters averaged 25 victims. On average, sexually abused molesters committed over 100 more acts than never-abused molesters.

In order to reduce the number of children molested, we must identify the pedophile and implement treatment as rapidly as possible.
