I'm referring to Joshua Kistler the 31 year old pervert recently sentenced to 24 years in prison for his online predatory behavior. What did he do?

First he posed as a 15 year old boy using images of his own son. He sent those pictures and videos to young girls and claimed to be dying of Leukemia....all to entice them into sending him sexually explicit pictures of themselves. The girls ranged in age from 12-14.

On March 11, 2005, FBI agents in Portland served a search warrant on defendant's residence, recovering numerous CD's and two computers that the defendant admitted to containing files of movies of young women in various states of undress, some of which were taken and recorded without their knowledge. In addition, a forensic examination revealed thousands of images containing depictions of child pornography.But hey, it gets worse.

He had a program which had recorded the girls on their web cams without their knowledge and he saved the videos.

He stated that he'd "always been a collector"

As part of his plea deal he gave agents detailed information about the software he used to view and record webcam video without alerting the person with whom he was sharing a connection, software designed to simulate reciprocal webcam video for the purpose of deceiving those minors with whom he was chatting.

This was eerily similar in a way to the case of the stolen panties except that the creep factor on this guy is off the scale. I suppose it should come as no surprise. We have no doubt that guys like this have no respect for others, including the little girls they claim to just love. Interesting that this guy made the comment

"I'm sorry for the harm I've caused," he said. "I wasn't aware I was causing any harm."

I found that interesting. And especially when you take into consideration pervert attacks on any law against their behavior. They don't like the idea that their privacy might be invaded. But the privacy of these young girls meant nothing. Just like their psychological well-being meant nothing. In fact none of the girls meant anything at all to this man except as a means to achieve sexual gratification. So what makes him different than these other guys? He got caught. That's the only difference.

You can only be charged with possession of child pornography. It is not illegal to look at it or view it on a web cam. To my knowledge, there are no laws barring sexual type talk with minors

Some recommended steps to help protect your child from this sort of thing include:

• do not let your children have computers in their rooms; put them in open rooms only

• keep your computer turned off when you aren’t using it, and if you have a webcam, turn it to the wall when you are not using it, or at least obstruct the view

• purchase your children an email account instead of having them use a free one.
  

These men have one thing on their minds........and it's not the well-being of your child. I believe we'll be seeing more cases like this. We should all warn everyone of this danger. This man, like so many of these online pedofreaks we see, simply has no soul.

A Parent's Worst Nightmare

Judge Chet Tharpe said as he sentenced Steven Schurgard to 85 years in prison.


Steven's father had reportedly turned his son in for his illegal acts back in 2002 after Steven threatened to kill his father. Apparently he had an anger management problem. But he had more problems than that, much more.

When Temple Terrace police went to serve Schurgard, the man who test drove cars for work and lived with his mother answered the door with a gun tucked in the waist of his pants. He threatened police and told them he had child pornography on his computer. Police returned with a search warrant and seized Schurgard's computer and a cache of video and cassette tapes.

Though 617 child porn images were found on Steven's computer, including video tapes of a teenage boy engaged in sex acts in the home Steven shared with his mother....rather than face a trial he plead guilty to three counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, one count of lewd and lascivious conduct with a victim younger than 18 and five counts of possession of child pornography.

All that was left was to be sentenced by the judge. He could have received as little as 4 years.

Steven Schurgard, who once called himself "a full-fledged pedophile" on his Web site, told a judge Thursday that he was sorry for owning child pornography and filming a young man engaged in a sex act.

But when some of his videos Steven had made were played for the judge....Steven hummed along.

"No one else will ever do. I'm still in love with you."

Is it any wonder then that the judge threw the book at him? We should have more of this type of judicial responsibility, and not just at the arrogant, in-your-face attitude of those like Steven Schurgard.

Schurgard's open plea left the length of his sentence up to the judge. Tharpe watched a video of a 13-year-old boy whom Schurgard plied with video games, drugs and alcohol, then filmed performing sexual acts. He saw a sampling of the obscene images from the man's computer. He was also shown evidence that would not have been allowed at trial but could be used by the judge to determine character. One video, set to the music from Jaws, showed Schurgard peeking through his blinds at a boy playing outside. Another captured him giggling guiltily as he flipped through pictures of naked boys and showed off literature from the North American Man/Boy Love Association, of which he was a member.

The DA "He is the very epitome of what parents lay in bed at night worrying about."

The defense attorney: argued that the 13-year-old had been a willing participant

The judge: "The only regret I have is that I can only sentence you to 85 years"

Trucker: "I think he was just doing what all of us would do if these damn laws didn't force us to obey them. I know the law shouldn't be broken, but to give an honest, wonderful person like that life in prison, and knowing that he would never intentionally harm a child is just preposterous."

Albert Ross: "maybe steve just doesn't know the meaning of fear, but he still gets hero status in my book."

Let's look at what one of those videos were, shall we? Is this meant to instill fear in the hearts of parents? Is it meant to mock society? What the hell was he thinking when Steven Schurgard made this video and posted it on his website?? Norbert said it was meant to be humor. I, for one, am not laughing.

Isaak Gowhari

A man has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges after bringing a 7-month-old Doberman puppy with broken ribs and leg injuries to a shelter and telling the workers there that his hands hurt from hitting her.

Isaak Gowhari, 34, was sentenced to 45 days in county jail after entering his plea to the misdemeanor counts. The judge also barred Gowhari from owning an animal for three years.

Andrew C. James

In January 2007, Andrew C. James, a man with two prior domestic assault convictions, pled guilty to sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy in Vermont. In a plea bargain, he was given a $22 fine and sentenced to rehabilitation and lifetime probation. Today, he walks a free man.

In the first instance we have a dog who can't testify. In the second instance we have a little boy with a learning disability who can't testify. These two totally unrelated cases speak volumes. What's your priority?

Proving not everyone in Washington has lost his mind, justices denied an appeal of a 200-year sentence for a high school teacher who downloaded child porn from 1996 until he was caught in 2002, Reuters reported.

Without any comment, the high court declined to hear the constitutional challenge to the sentence given to Morton Berger, who at the time of his arrest in 2002 was a married, 52-year-old high school teacher with no prior criminal record.

Berger's lawyers said his lengthy punishment was grossly disproportionate to his crime and exceeded the sentences regularly imposed in Arizona for violent crimes that result in serious injury to the victim.

But child porn is a violent crime. A person rapes a child and photographs it. By downloading child porn, a man becomes an accessory to the crime after the fact.

Evidence at trial established that Berger possessed numerous videos and photo images of different children, some younger than 10 years old, being subjected to sexual acts with adults and other children.The jury heard testimony that Berger had downloaded child pornography on his computer from 1996 to 2002. He was convicted on 20 separate counts.

The ACLU of Arizona had helped with this appeal. Its press release said:

ACLU cooperating attorney Don Peters assisted in filing a brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to consider overturning a 200-year sentence that was given to a man who was found to be in possession of child pornography. Morton Berger was charged with 20 separate counts of sexual exploitation of a minor under the age of 15 and sentenced to 20 consecutive 10-year sentences for possession of child pornography.

The Arizona Supreme Court upheld the conviction and rejected the ACLU's argument that the sentence was excessive and violated the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment.

The federal Supreme Court rejection of this case comes on the heels of the arrest on Friday of Charles Rust-Tierney, a former president of the ACLU in Virginia, on child porn charges.

Dang! 200 years? I hope he packed some clean underwear and a lunch.

SAN DIEGO - The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego said Tuesday that it planned to file for bankruptcy protection to put off going to trial in more than 140 lawsuits alleging sexual abuse by priests.

When I worked Child Abuse for a major California law enforcement agency I had the prime suspect in one of my cases "disappeared" and moved from the local diocese. I was not at all pleased. Additionally, at the time, I was told to drop the case and move on with others.

Wrong is wrong, and Evil is Evil, no matter the robe or uniform or inclination. I am fresh out of sympathy when I read of this turn of events.

LOS ANGELES – Former Superior Court Judge Ronald C. Kline offered "a lifetime of apologies" and then collapsed Tuesday as he was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison for possession of child pornography.

Kline, 66, had just learned that U.S. District Court Judge Consuelo B. Marshall was rejecting his bid to be placed on probation when his eyes fluttered and his knees buckled.

"I think I'm going to faint," he said as he crumbled into the arms of Paul S. Meyer, his defense attorney...

... Tuesday's sentencing ended nearly six years of legal wrangling that saw Kline charged at one point with possessing child pornography in federal court and child molestation in state courts.

The state case was ultimately dismissed, based on a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that the prosecution was pressed beyond the statute of limitations.

The federal pornography case was also threatened in 2003 when Marshall ruled that the evidence of pornographic images found on his home computer had been illegally seized.

But a federal appeals court disagreed with Marshall in 2004, and the pornography charges were reinstated.

A year later, in December 2005, the ex-judge pleaded guilty and broke down in tears...

...Tuesday, he lost his freedom. He will not be eligible for parole until he serves at least 23 months. He was given until May 21 to report to federal prison.

Marshall said Tuesday that the seriousness of the porn charges demanded that Kline be punished. She ordered that Kline be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life, that he not possess any computer equipment and that he not access the Internet during three years of probation.

Kline admitted he stored more than 100 sexually explicit photos of under-age boys on his computer and on several disks found at his Irvine home in November 2001.

Police caught onto Kline after a Canadian computer whiz hacked into the judge's Irvine home computer and discovered sexually explicit images of young boys and a diary that revealed Kline's fantasies involving young boys. A subsequent search of his court computer revealed more images and more Web sites...

What Kind of Mother is This?

We all too often learn of adults engaging in illegal activity with minors but sometimes there is a twist that takes it from simply illegal to just plain strange.

Imagine that you are an adult woman with a 38 year old boyfriend, and you are temporarily unable to function sexually due to an operation you just had and you don't want to lose the boyfriend.

Solution: Give him written permission to have sex with your 15 year old daughter, and reward her with material things and a few more privileges.

This is not technically pedophilia, but statutory rape. However he apparently had sex with even younger girls which is. (In Michigan Child Molestation is under 13 while 13 to 17 is Statutory Rape).

First question: Why would any sane mother do this to her daughter or perhaps allow her to have sex with an adult?

Second question: Why would she want a man who would have sex with her daughter?

Third question: Why would any self-respecting man get involved in such a situation?

An adult man having the desire to have sex with a teen-aged girl is perhaps alot closer to normal than desiring a 6 or 7 year old, but to act on that desire shows a lack of maturity, discipline and principle. It's still illegal, and rightly so (more to protect young women - - and young men - - from exploitation than to prevent perversion.)

Teacher Accused Of 'Sexual Contact' With Student

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. -- An English teacher at Trabuco Hills High School was free on bond Monday while authorities investigated allegations that she had "substantial sexual contact" with a male student, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Alyssa Ann Johnson, 31, of Tustin, was arrested Wednesday evening at her home by sheriff's investigators, who received word of the allegation through officials at the Mission Viejo school, said sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.

"We heard about it through school social services," he said. "He took an English class from her.
Amormino declined to release any additional information that could identify the youth, other than to say that he is "older than 14 and younger than 18."

Johnson, who was booked on suspicion of oral copulation, posted $50,000 bond and was released on Thanksgiving Day, Amormino said.

Johnson has been placed on administrative leave from the job she held about four years, the spokesman said.

Farrah Emami of the Orange County District Attorney's Office said the case has not yet been presented to her office for charges.

Although it's not as common, women molest and abuse children too. A lot of the time the suspicion is written off as part of normal child care duties and hygiene. Also, when women abuse teenage boys, men often think of it as 'cool' or laugh it off saying how 'lucky' the boy is.

By denying that women molest young boys, these young men are not helped in understanding that sex between adults and children is wrong. When it's okay for a 30 year old female to take a 14 year old boy as a lover, why should it be considered wrong for the boy when he turns 30 to take a 14 year old girl as a lover?

It's time to stop giving these female teachers a 'slap on the wrist'. They are abusing kids. They are abusing their power and they are criminals. They deserve the same punishment as a man who abuses young girls.

Now and again, America is subjected to the acts of a criminal so profoundly depraved that it changes the way we view our fellow human beings.

Ted Bundy. John Wayne Gacy. Jeffrey Dahmer. Gary Ridgway. Dennis Rader. Richard Speck.

This pitiless club has a new member: Joseph Edward Duncan III.
As a teenager in Tacoma, Wash., Duncan raped and tortured a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint. Convicted as an adult, he spent 18 years in prison and was afforded many opportunities to overcome—or perhaps constrain—his psychopathic sexual urges.

Ultimately, all efforts failed.

After prison, Duncan enrolled in college in Fargo, N.D., registered as a sex offender and spent several years without any reported lapses.

But early last spring, he was accused of molesting a boy on a playground in Minnesota. Facing charges that almost certainly would have led him back to prison, Duncan vanished from Fargo in a stolen Jeep, just weeks before he was to graduate from North Dakota State University.

Three days later, authorities allege, Duncan turned up with a shotgun and carpenter's hammer at the home of Brenda Groene and her children near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He bludgeoned to death Groene, her son Slade, 13, and Brenda's boyfriend, Mark McKenzie.

He bound the woman's two youngest children, Dylan, 9, and Shasta, 8, and carried them away in his Jeep. He took them to a hideout in the Montana woods and used the children as sexual playthings for seven weeks before finally killing Dylan, officials allege.

He was arrested July 2 at a Coeur d'Alene restaurant while having breakfast with Shasta.

Following Duncan's arrest, it was discovered that he had been keeping an Internet diary of sorts, a web log, commonly referred to as a blog, in which he disturbingly implied that he had left a string of bodies following his release from prison.

"I got out and I got even," wrote Duncan in his blog. "But I did not get caught. So I got even again, and again did not get caught. I got even twice (actually more)."

Duncan also wrote of keeping a second diary, a secret diary written in code that provided more details of his horrible crimes.

"...the world will know who I really was, and what I really did..." he wrote. "...I am scared, alone, and confused, and my reaction is to strike out toward the perceived source of my misery, society. My intent is to harm society as much as I can, then die."

Duncan's writings were voluminous, and could easily fill a book. He also had an affinity for dressing in drag, and at one point in his life he posted as series of such photos of himself on the Internet and labeled them, "Jazzi Jet," and is an example of how he apparently views himself.

At the time of this writing, the FBI as well as investigators in at least five states are continuing in their efforts to determine where Duncan might have been at any given time where any unsolved murders or rapes of children were committed. The investigation, while no longer in its infancy, is still continuing and new details will likely emerge as Duncan's case moves toward trial.

Duncan's trial date was originally slated to begin on January 17, 2006. However, according to the November 23, 2005 edition of The Seattle Times, First District Judge Fred Gibler vacated the January date and pushed his trial date back to April 4, 2006, in response to defense attorneys' requests for more time to prepare for trial.

Update: COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty against the registered sex offender accused of abducting two children last year and killing one of them, the U.S. attorney's office said Tuesday.

CARLISLE, Indiana (AP) -- An inmate serving a life term for molesting and killing a 10-year-old girl named Katie somehow got "Katie's Revenge" tattooed across his forehead, and prison authorities were trying to determine how it happened.

The Indiana Department of Correction placed Anthony Ray Stockelman, 39, in protective custody away from the general inmate population last weekend after authorities discovered the tattoo, said Rich Larsen, a spokesman for the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility.

Stockelman was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to abducting, molesting and killing Katlyn "Katie" Collman. Katie was missing for five days before her body was found January 30, 2005, in a creek about 15 miles from her home in the southern Indiana town of Crothersville.

Larsen refused to comment on what Stockelman has said about it or what else investigators have learned. He said he did not know how a picture of the crude tattoo was taken and distributed outside the prison, including on the Internet.

Collman's father, John Neace, said he heard about the tattoo from friends and believes it was the work of inmates.

"If I had to guess I'd say it's a statement from the inmates," he said Wednesday. Neace said he has no idea whether his late daughter's distant cousin, who is also serving time at Wabash, played any role.

Stockelman's tattoo, which covers nearly his entire forehead, has "KATIE'S" in large letters and "REVENGE" below in smaller letters.

The search for Katie, a bright child who enjoyed basketball and the Disney Channel, had consumed Crothersville. Police initially believed she was abducted and slain so she would not reveal methamphetamine activity in her neighborhood.

Investigators had interviewed Stockelman early on because he matched the description of a man seen with the girl. Then another man told police that he was involved in the murder.

That confession was eventually shown to be false as evidence pointed investigators back to Stockelman and DNA from the crime scene was found to match his.

A message seeking additional comment left Thursday for an Indiana Department of Correction spokesman was not immediately returned.

LMAO!!! If you think this is the end of his "punishment from the inmates" you have another thing coming. Usually this is like the torture phase of inmate justice, they will make him live with this for a while and then the really hard time will start for this freak.

It's times like these where I find myself routing for the convicts. Go get him boys!

A pedophile is lowest form of life on the planet, to take advantage of the innocence of the young is deplorable, and then to kill a child after your perverted act, makes you inhuman.
You should be recipient of the harshest punishment imaginable. Since our courts won't allow it in a civilized society, the prison population will exact the type of justice that only they can. I look forward to reading about the end of this freaks life I only hope it is recorded in all its graphic detail.

Zero Tolerance For Victims Who Become Predators

The revelation of sexually oriented instant messages and emails between Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) and a teenaged former page shows that paedophiles exist in all sectors of society, even our most "revered" institutions.

Ironically, Foley had himself sponsored tough legislation in Congress to protect children from sexual predators online.

Now comes the revelation that Foley had been molested by a Catholic priest when he was a teenager. I hope that's not true.

But it doesn't matter. It's no defense for what he's been up to the last few years; that it (his own molestation) was made public now seems to suggest he thinks it might be during, say, future legal action against him. And apparently being a victim of a sexual predator decades ago did not result in his feeling empathy for young people today.

Though, as his lawyer today stated, Foley had "no inappropriate sexual contact with any minor," he still may be guilty of a crime, as even solicitation of sexual activities is prohibited. Foley now claims to have problems with alcohol, but that would not turn him into a predator so much as bring out desires that were already within him.

And who knows what might have eventually happened had Foley not been found out. Years before the recently published emails were written some pages had been warned to steer clear of Foley. He may well have continued to the point where he acted on his proclivities in a very real way.

Some on the blogosphere already know my political orientation. But I'd be writing this post whether Foley's political affiliation were Red, Blue or Green. The truth is what matters most, not party loyalty.

Let revelations of inappropriate behavior between adults and youths never be politically motivated; they should always be done first and foremost to protect the children.

An Aussie Lesson

A Sydney paedophile who murdered a man before raping his young stepdaughter will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The NSW Supreme Court had jailed Jeffrey John Hillsley for 30 years for murdering a friend and then kidnapping and raping the man's 10-year-old stepdaughter.

Hillsley had previously served jail time for sex offences against three young girls.

He had been out of jail for less than two years when he bludgeoned his friend to death with a hammer at the man's Campsie home in 2003.

Over Christmas that year, Hillsley had stayed with the victim, who cannot be named, and returned to attack the 54-year-old as he slept on New Year's Eve.

He had sexually assaulted the man's stepdaughter during his earlier stay and, after the murder, abducted her at knifepoint and repeatedly raped her.

The girl managed to escape 16 hours later.

Hillsley, 54, pleaded guilty to murder, kidnap and four counts of aggravated sexual assault.

The case prompted calls from the NSW opposition for the "chemical castration" of offenders like him, and the crown appealed against the inadequacy of his minimum 25-year jail term.

Obviously, the crown won their appeal. In handing down the life sentence, the appeals judges said There are some crimes which are so wicked that a sentence less than a life sentence cannot adequately reflect the community interest in retribution and punishment. In our view, this murder is a crime of this kind.

This case raises some important issues. The most obvious being WHY was this paedophile free to murder, kidnap and rape when he'd already kidnapped/assaulted three little girls. Further to this, when released from prison on those charges, the ACT government issued a 'warning' to their NSW counterparts saying Hillsley was very likely to reoffend and extremely dangerous.

Yet he was allowed to savagely rape and murder.

Another major issue here is that we do not have publicly accessible sex offender registries. This is NOT a privacy issue, it is a safety issue. The majority of civilized human beings would much rather compromise a sex offender's privacy than a child's safety.

These laws simply MUST be changed to protect our children from monsters like Hillsley.

Police Charge Coach In Child Sex Assault Case

HONOLULU - Honolulu police on Saturday charged a soccer coach accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy and infecting him with a sexually transmitted disease.

Fred Rames, 65, is a father of four and a foster parent. Rames is a coach with the Soccer Association for Youth.

Allegations of other sexual assaults are also surfacing against Rames, according to police.
Police said they are interviewing other children who said Rames sexually assaulted them.
Rames faces six charges of third-degree sexual assault.

Police are holding him on $150,000 bail.

Frederick Rames is a well-known and loved man in his community. Nobody KGMB9 talked to in Wahiawa could believe the 65-year-old soccer coach could have molested a seven-year-old boy.

"I've lived in this neighborhood all my life. I've played with his kids. I've played at his house. I don't believe anything you've just told me," Danielle Rapoza said.

But police say doctors recently diagnosed a seven-year-old boy with a sexually transmitted disease. This is when the boy told his doctor he was sexually assaulted by his soccer coach Frederick Rames.

Jed Tom is Rames' long-time friend and also a coach. He says Rames coaches kids of all ages and is a foster parent of three children who are in elementary and middle school.

Tom says Rames has fostered dozens of children over the years.

Dean Arthur Schwartzmiller, CONVICTED

In San Jose, California, perhaps the most notorious child molestor in US history has been convicted. The sad thing is, Dean Arthur Schwartzmiller was only convicted of 11 counts of child molestation, and one charge of child pornography possession. Outrage in Sydney

Convicted paedophile Bradley Pendragon is on the loose again. He admitted to numerous child sex offences in Thailand including production of child pornography and threatening, beating and raping three children aged 12, 8 and 8.

Having received a pardon, Pendragon was deported back to Australia this month. News today from the Sydney Morning Herald is that Pendragon has been found living in a homeless shelter in Sydney just around the corner from a primary school.

Residents of the shelter were outraged. One stated:

This is budget accommodation, trying to help people. He just isn't worth helping

Yet another said:

Why help this mongrel? Why help him?

This community seems to think that Pendragon doesn't even deserve to be free, let alone living this close to a school. Good on ya, Sydney! The teenage girl told police that the 11-year-old had told her she wanted to perform oral sex on the boys in the house, according to court records. The 16-year-old denied encouraging her.

The teenage girl and the 15-year-old boy were charged with being a party to sexual assault. Torbenson said he will probably seek to have them tried as adults

why is this story surprising? An 11 year old can get to be just as jealous of her older lover as anyone else. Is it because supposedly in the girls own words she chose to engage in sex acts and with whom she would have them with? Child Molestor on the Run

(CBS) INDIO, Calif. Police sought a 22-year-old Indio man they suspect sexually molested an 11-year-old girl.

Samuel Sanchez Gutierrez told his former employer and landlord he was going to Mexico, but Indio police suspect he is still in the Coachella Valley, where he was born and raised.

Gutierrez is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. He is Hispanic with brown hair and eyes. A cash reward may be offered for information leading to his arrest.

Police have not released further details of the alleged crime, which occurred in 2005. Anyone with information on Gutierrez's whereabouts was encouraged to contact Indio police at (760) 391-4057.

Predator on the Loose

PALMDALE, August 31, 2006 - A manhunt is underway for a suspect who raped a ten-year-old girl at a movie theater complex in the Antelope Valley Mall in Palmdale.

The attack occurred about 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Movies 10 complex in the 1200 block of West Avenue P, said Sgt. Paul Patterson of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
The suspect pulled the youngster into an empty movie theater, where he "verbally threatened and sexually assaulted her," Patterson said. The man then ran off.

He was described as black, 35-45 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds, with a black/gray mustache. He wore a white short-sleeve shirt and dark blue warm-up pants with white stripes on the outer seams.

Detectives circulated a composite drawing of the suspect, and urged anyone knowing more about the crime to call the sheriff's department.
