We've talked a lot lately about sex offender activists, both the offenders themselves and the family members who enable them.

The Blame Gamers we call them.

But now let's look at some people who aren't sex offenders or family members of sex offenders. People who attempt to further their cause with seemingly no motive to do so. I'd like to know who they are. I'd like to know why their compassion and empathy is directed towards people who harm others and why they blame those who are the victims.

Let's talk about the case of the judge, the lawyer and the therapist.

First up we have Australian Judge Sarah Bradley. Her case involved a 10 year old girl who was gang raped by 9 men. The prosecuting attorney described the rape as

"a form of childish experimentation, rather than one child being prevailed upon by another" and said the males including a 17, 18 and 26-year-old, were "naughty".

And Her Honor based her judgment on her own opinion that the girl

"probably agreed to have sex with all of the offenders"

This ten year old child had previously been molested multiple times AND she contracted a venereal disease during this encounter. She was subsequently removed from her foster family and returned to the community where all her victimizations had occured and in which her victimizers lived within their prestigious and now obviously influental families.

With this decision, Judge Bradley told this girl she was unimportant. That what these men did to her was just something she would have to accept. Every single one of the rapists pleaded guilty. Every single one of them received a slap on the wrist except for 6 of them who received........nothing.

He then went on to explain that in the Aboriginal culture it's not unusual for adults to have sex with children. And the pedofreaks bought it. Even Moth.

It reminded me of THIS story. Horrifying in itself, the reactions from the pedo community were mind boggling.


Next we have the case of Philip Russell. A Connecticut attorney who accepted the case of the music director at his church. Church officials had discovered child pornography on Robert Tate's laptop computer. The church, a prominent church, "didn't want a scandal. They wanted it to go away", according to Mr. Russell.

Mr. Russell acted swiftly. He took a sledgehammer and beat the hell out of that laptop, thus destroying the evidence and enabling Mr. Tate.

Mr. Tate had done a lot more than possess child pornography of young boys, some of it sadistic in nature. Regarding Robert Tate, Judge Alan Nevas said he had "never, ever seen such a sexual abuse history as Mr. Tate's, going back 30 years, involving trips overseas, and bringing child prostitutes to the parish and church grounds". Nevertheless, Mr. Russell who could have received 3 years in prison for his part, instead was given 1 year probation, 6 months of home confinement, a $25,000 fine and 240 hours of community service. He can reapply for his license after a period of one year. Hopefully the scumbag will be disbarred.

As for Mr. Tate? He plead guilty to possession of child pornography and will be sentenced on January 31. No one seems to know why he's only charged with CP. Perhaps it's the good ol' boy system operating in Connecticut. Mr. Russell says that he's "very relieved and happy" that the case is behind him. But what about those boys in those images? Who are they? What about those boys in Mr. Tate's extensive baby raping history?


Niki Delson is a therapist. Her clients include sex offenders. Her clients also include child sexual abuse victims. Niki is a pro-pedophile, pro sex offender activist. While Niki's peers are publishing in professional journals, Niki is publishing in the American Chronicle. I bet she leaves that off her resume though, ya think?

Niki believes that it's natural and quite normal for adults to be sexually attracted to sexually immature, sexually undeveloped prepubescent children. To back up her claim, she quotes a study by Briere, which we talked about HERE and which has been proven to be biased and purposefully deceptive.

Insanity, a legal term, may be used to defend criminal behavior if the person did not understand that what they were doing was illegal. Being mentally ill does not mean that one is insane, however. And while experts agree that mental illness which effects a persons behavior - if not curable, is treatable, while the alternative - EVIL - is not. The best you can hope for with someone who is just plain evil is behavior modification, a tortuously long process with a poor success rate. And it's easy to see why.

And yet Niki's partner Ron Kokish teaches the exact opposite, he says it's best to be evil because, well you could simply change your behavior.

"Simply put, adult sexual attraction to children is normal. It's part of biological sexuality"

"Sexual offenses are not essentially different from other cruel and selfish acts. When we pretend they are, we are simply trying to avoid acceptance of our own nature, we are barking up the wrong tree, and we are making the situation worse"

Niki, besides being the Media Director and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee of the California Coalition on Sexual Offending, is deeply involved in activism. Writing propaganda in the same style as the other blame gamers on the tabloid site American Chronicle, blogs, forums and news sites, we see her twisting statistics and studies and showing up in strange places like the eAdvocate website, SoClear Media Productions, Martijn of the Netherlands Political Pedophile Party, the Reform Sex Offender Laws Petition website, MySpace, Nigel Oldfields website, Zman's blog and the yahoo group belonging to Erika the Mouse.

Niki is an activist for sex offenders, she advocates for less restrictions, no registry, and no notification. Niki believes that pedophilia is normal. Niki is counseling sex offenders, feeding into their cognitive distortions. Niki is counseling children who have been sexually abused by the pedophiles she believes are normal. There is something not quite right with this picture.

I wonder what she would think of the pedophile Jason. I wonder what she would tell him when he said:

Masturbation has no known harmful effects on an otherwise healthy child. Even if a child were forcibly masturbated against his/her will, any harm would be minimal and quickly overcome if parents and the law took a sensible attitude toward the "assault"

Even where a child is truly forced and protests against being masturbated, any ill effects would be virtually eliminated if society would only get rid of the current sexual hysteria

I'll leave you with some thoughts from another professional who treats sex offenders. He doesn't sound at all like Niki to me. Can't you just hear her now? "I am Niki D of the American Chronicle". No they don't sound anything alike and sometimes common sense alone will tell you what's the truth and what's a lie, so let's meet Dr. Bill Glaser:

• There are some who say that we are becoming unnecessarily panicky about child sexual abuse. The evidence is that we have not panicked enough.


• If we had some sort of plague or epidemic which affected one in four girls, one in eight boys, there would be a national outcry about it and we would be setting up national coordinated efforts to deal with the problem as we have with modern day epidemics such as HIV.


• Despite the implications of its Greek etymology, paedophilia is not a love of children but a lust for them. The sole aim of the paedophile is to sexually abuse children. Any display of care, affection or friendship towards the victim is always secondary to this.


• It has often been said that paedophiles tend to be “good with children”. That is precisely what makes them so dangerous; this “goodness”is difficult to differentiate from (say)“good” parenting. One has to talk with many victims at length to realise how insidious and how overwhelming has been the influence of an offender on all aspects of their lives.


• An incest offender is simply a paedophile who sometimes abuses his own children or young relatives.


• And most of all,we have to understand the how and the why of paedophilia: the subtle, bizarre and cruel ways in which seemingly blameless and upright men insidiously cripple the most vulnerable members of our society. We have possessed that understanding for a long time; we have ignored it for too long.


• The measure of successful treatment is not that of a happy perpetrator but rather of a safe victim.

A Modern Pedophile Attack on Children

Is it a virus as Nihil seems to think society is? Perhaps it's cancer or the plague. Bill Glaser said it best in Paedophilia : the public health problem of the decade :

Imagine a society afflicted by a scourge which struck down a quarter of its daughters and up to one in eight of its sons. Imagine also that this plague, while not immediately fatal, lurked in the bodies and minds of these young children for decades, making them up to sixteen times more likely to experience its disastrous long-term effects: life-threatening starvation, suicide, persistent nightmares, drug and alcohol abuse and a whole host of intractable psychiatric disorders requiring life-long treatment.

Society understands this and is taking preemptive measures against those who don't. Against those who would harm our children, those who threaten their safety with their lies and deceit.

ONE STRIKE YOU'RE OUT

will be the catch phrase that we use to put a stop to this crap that has gone on for far too long. Of course the entire pedohead community thinks we're hysterical, but I wonder if they really want to take a chance that we aren't serious? Perhaps we should first look at the words of one of the pedo-activists out there speaking on behalf of nodding pedo heads. Let's go back to nihil_aeturnius:

In the modern age, children exist in a truly grim state of affairs. Their lives and choices are routinely subject to oppressive control, rather than loving guidance. Their interests are often narrowed from the time they can speak........ into activities they have no interest in but serve the self-aggrandizement of selfish parents

Nihil believes there are 3 main components which facilitate the total development of children:

1-Good Parenting
2-Good Teaching
3-Good Outside Influences i.e. Pedophiles

Nihil believes that parents think of their children as burdens, and that those people who choose not to have children reflect badly on themselves.....and on those people who DO have children. NOT having children, says Nihil:

inevitably leads to a slow decline in the effort placed into parenting. Many parents are incapable of performing the balancing act of guidance and freedom that the job entails - therefore, you either have controlling parents who restrict their children's every activity, or deadbeat parents who let their children sit on their ass and watch TV all day.

So, the answer to all problems regarding children then, according to nihil is for everyone to have children whether they want to or not, to raise them the way that nihil thinks they should be raised, and to have a dirty old man in their lives to enrich their childhood and free them from unwanted piano and ballet lessons.

Nihil thinks pedophiles are the only answer to problems our children may face:

it comes to us - the outside forces, the lovers of children. It is our responsibility to right the ship.......so that children can be brought up in the best environment possible.

The nodding pedohead Paper-doll calls this deranged rant a *motivating* argument!

Nihil forgets the fact that people who have children do so for reasons other than perverted pedophilic selfish sexual desires. ***IF*** Nihil's intentions are not sexual in nature but a true love for children then perhaps he should have his OWN child. This will serve several purposes:

• 1-He'll have a child to give *all he has to offer* to
• 2-He'll learn what it REALLY means to be a parent
• 3-He'll leave our children alone
• 4-He'll finally shut his incessant rattling mouth
  

I'll sum everything up for Nihil and all the other pedofreaks out there.

You don't have a monopoly on loving children.

People who care for children, why they have a family. They raise their children, and NO it is not all fun and games. It's work, hard work. You are responsible for them 24/7. So before you---Nihil--- you little twit, DARE to call parents 'selfish', I suggest you get a little bit of experience in life first. Experience for yourself first hand the long hours, the work, the sleepless nights, the worry, the sacrifice along with the intense joy and deep love that goes along with being a parent. After you have done these things and have some experience from which to speak you might feel differently. As it is you're just one more stupid pedofreak. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The comparison of paedophilia to a plague is more than just a vivid metaphor. It suggests that lessons can be learned from the other great scourges and pestilences of human history.

Facts According to Jay Part 6

Jay Baskins, see HERE, tells us about this little thing called A FACTOID, which he defines as:

A statement of presumed fact that people believe to be true because they hear it repeated over and over

FACTOID # 6

Minors never feel positive about their relationships with older partners if there is a sexual component in that relationship.

Jay states that the ACTUAL fact is:

Heinz Kohut, the founder of "Self Psychology" and one of the most important psychological theorists of the 20th Century reported that "I had this private tutor, who was a very important person in my life. He would take me to musems and swimming and concerts and we had endless intellectual conversations and played complicated intellectual games and played chess together." They also did sexual things together, which they both enjoyed, but Kohut felt the sex was more or less incidental. The important thing for him was the relationship. (Stozier, 2001. "Heinz Kohut: The Making of a Psychoanalyst" pp 95, 96)

Oh dear. First let's look at the way it's written here. There's quotes. There's non-quotes. I'm not going to bore you with the rest of this dribble, but just want to say that it's all like this. Quoting Kohut. Non-quotes with the appearance of quotes anytime sex is mentioned. Typical.

Nevertheless, I suppose we should look at Kohut and see what we find. Let's start with Strozier himself. Some of the things Jay forgot to tell us when he explained how wonderful Kohut's experience was at the hands of his childhood molester.... In addition to the fact that he writes about Kohut's problems with "frequent... addictive masturbation accompanied by masochistic fantasies" Strozier writes:

It may be that Kohut (who minimized the exploitative nature of his tutor's actions) was deluded about the nature of his own victimization and confused about the way tender feelings are often an integral part of exploitation. pp 25-26

And while we're on this topic let's also look at what Dr. Freda Briggs Emeritus Professor and qualified expert in the field of child sexual abuse has to say:

"Men who normalize their own experience of sexual abuse, may be more likely than other victims to perpetuate the abuse".... Ryan (1989) has suggested that repression of the traumatic aspects and acceptance of the pleasurable aspects of sexual abuse often leads to victims defending against the effects of their own abuse...

"...perpetrators who discounted the effects of abuse on their own lives also discounted the damage they did to other children; they rationalized that boys liked and wanted what they did to them"... [pp. 231-232]

Dr Bruce Perry writes:

Evidence suggests that the negative psychological impact of child sexual abuse persists over time, often into adulthood. Potential long-term effects of child sexual abuse include depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, sexual dysfunction, and substance abuse.
Further, among the female adult outpatient population, individuals with sexual abuse histories as children were twice as likely to attempt suicide than their non-abused counterparts.
Across the lifespan, individuals who were sexually abused as children are four times more likely to be at risk for developing a psychiatric disorder and are about three times more likely to abuse substances than their non-abused counterparts.
It is estimated that approximately one third of child sexual abuse victims experience PTSD as adult survivors.
Among women whose abuse involved penetration, an increased risk associated for the development of PTSD is experienced, resulting in about two thirds of this population developing PTSD at some point during their lifetime.

Now let's jump over to one of the pedovores message boards and see if we can get any insight there. Turtle, who is just a treasure trove of outrageous statements says this:

so why do i read posts by angry "christian" women that go on and on about how sick and evil it is and how their lives were ruined? are you that weak minded? do you have to find someone else to blame for your own personal failures? it was one event, it shouldnt ruin your life. kids in other countries live through much worse. stop whining, and put the blame where it belongs: on your own shoulders. sex is a beautiful thing and only becomes perverted when you decide that it is perverted.

i had a young girl ask me once why it is called sexual abuse ... i told her it is because people want to believe that all kids are too stupid to know the difference

And they think we don't know how to educate our children and they do? Right.
But I'm not through with turtle. turtle gets into a discussion abut responsibility, about the true abusers of children

it is possible that some people dont know the right from wrong,but that is rare,and it is used as a defense all the time. if you put your rights and desires above the rights and desires of someone else then you are a harmful person and need to be dealt with. people know what is expected of them from society,regardless if they agree or not. when you harm another person it doesnt matter if the law is there or not. it is wrong,and you know by instinct. when you hear her screaming and crying and then see the blood you should know it is wrong. if you are so sick that you think that is perfectly acceptable then you need to be neutralized with extreme predjudice.....

Well FINALLY, turtle and I agree on something. Unfortunately, he keeps talking

what is the alternative? allow him to keep doing it because his needs are more important than the victims? i think not. and when they do that it just makes it harder for true childlovers. its used as justification for sweeping laws....

He even tells us a 'why' for his attraction

i am attracted to girls because of the way they feel, smell, sound, look, and taste

So princesplaff gets in on the discussion and explains

pedophiles love children, in every sense, so if someone rapes a child they cannot be a pedophile.

Now, what was that again, turtle? Above when you said you weren't abused? And yet now you say:

.... evidence suggests that i was a pedophile from birth, before i was abused

Of course what the pedovores call abuse and what the rest of society calls abuse are two different things. turtle clarifies what should happen to people who abuse 'the innocent'

emotional distress is not an excuse for assualting innocents. either lock them up for life or put them out of their misery if they cant be cured. at least then they would be at peace,and that is good for us and them. the suffering would be over. how can people condone and talk about suicide because they are in so much pain and then in the same breath say it is unfair to put an insane person out of their misery? death is not a punishment,but a release. i have no desire to rape or murder,but if i did have such agonizing compulsions and couldnt stop i would hope and expect someone to stop me,one way or the other....

Queensland Parents Beware

A ruling this week in the Queensland Court of Appeals effectively deemed indefinite supervision of convicted paedophiles a thing of the past. The case relates to Eric Henri Van Dessel who has been convicted of child sex offences in 1989, 2001 and 2004. The Appeals Court last week ruled that the indefinite supervision order on Dessel be limited to 20 years.

Dessel is 42 years old and has two prior convictions. There is absolutely no reason to believe that in twenty years, he will cease to be a danger to our children. Of course, one would have thought that the third conviction would have been a tip off to the courts that he is a danger to society. Obviously it wasn't.

The current literature supports the notion that paedophiles are the oldest of all criminals. The reason cited by most experts for this is the pathological compulsion related to paedophilia which is not present in other criminals. This compulsion is what drives the paedophile to continue committing his crimes as long as he is physically capable of doing so. Dr. Bill Glaser is considered the foremost authority on child sex abuse and paedophilia in Australia and has gained worldwide recognition from his peers. In his clinic to treat child sex offenders, he observed that every single one is a paedophile and the oldest patient is 80 years old.

To our numerous readers in Queensland: Please be aware of the latitude the courts are giving these offenders.....aware and active. If you find this ruling to be outrageous and offensive, please contact the media and government officials and inform them of public opinion on this matter.

As Edelman said If we don't stand up for children, then we don't stand for much.

Treatment

Imagine also that this plague, while not immediately fatal, lurked in the bodies and minds of these young children for decades, making them up to sixteen times more likely to experience its disastrous long-term effects: life-threatening starvation, suicide, persistent nightmares, drug and alcohol abuse and a whole host of intractable psychiatric disorders requiring life-long treatment.

Thus begins Bill Glaser's notable paper Paedophilia: The Public Health Problem of the Decade. Glaser suggests that paedophilia has a more ubiquitous effect on society than any major plague ever has but the issue has not been adequately addressed. In part, this is due to our own reluctance to face the issue; we need a clear understanding of the problem in order to combat it.

For instance, Glaser suggests that the term ‘paedophile’ is problematic due to the fact that its Greek etymology suggests a love for children, rather on p.6 he concludes

Paedophilia is not a love of children but a lust for them. The sole aim of the paedophile is to sexually abuse children. Any display of care, affection or friendship towards the victim is always secondary to this.

Misunderstanding, problematic semantics, fear, and denial are all reasons why society has been unable to address the issue of child sexual abuse.

Therefore Glaser (p. 9) states:

The comparison of paedophilia to a plague is more than just a vivid metaphor. It suggests that lessons can be learned from the other great scourges and pestilences of human history.

The conclusion is drawn that, similar to other epidemics, paedophilia must be addressed in the following three ways:

-Definition of the problem

There are major gaps in our knowledge but recognition of the problem and what we don’t know is the first step society must take.

-Perception of risk
Foegle (1991) cited in Glaser (p 9) found

There are some who say that we are becoming unnecessarily panicky about child sexual abuse. The evidence is that we have not panicked enough. We are still like the village-dwellers in certain parts of India whose culture has encouraged them to fatalistically accept the ravages of smallpox, year after year, despite the existence of vaccination and other control methods.

-Social response

Many researchers (see here for instance) agree with Glaser’s view that while paedophilia cannot be ‘cured’, modern treatments are very effective. Various studies (Marshal et al 1993, Marshal & Pithers 1994, New South Wales Parliament ch 12) have found that recidivism rates can be reduced from approximately 35% to 3 – 6 % with treatment.

A good example of the effectiveness of this treatment can be found in this interview with self-confessed Australian paedophile ‘Tony’.

Tony was convicted on child sexual assault charges and ordered to undergo treatment. After 14 years of ongoing successful treatment, Tony moved to a rural location and chose to stop his therapy. He subsequently groomed and molested three little girls. When asked if his paedophilia could be viewed as an addiction, Tony responded

It is addiction yes. It is an addiction and um I see it as an addiction um I see it as a compulsive behaviour um which is a very devastating one for other people and um people can have a compulsive behaviour to wash their hands or to keep their room tidy where there’s less ah influence on other people but this one is not only frowned on by society, rightly so, it’s frowned on by the victims and it’s frowned on by me and I don’t understand why ah that experience in the beginning of my life has had such control of me.

Tony is back in treatment and ‘hoping’ never to offend again. As noted above, there is reason for Tony’s optimism. There is every reason to believe that continuing treatment will keep him from harming another person again.

The treatments do work.

The only thing we’re missing is willing participants before they offend in the first instance.

If you have paedophilic tendencies, do not be misled. Experts all agree that rationalizing and justifying this condition to yourself and others will only lead to despair.

Just some random thoughts from Australia's foremost forensic psychiatrist in the area of sex offenders, Bill Glaser, in referring to child sex abuse:

Probably the lies that we tell best are the ones that we tell ourselves so we know that paedophiles are very good at practising cognitive distortions which is a very fancy Yankee term for telling lies, that you want to believe and you end up believing. So many paedophiles do convince themselves that their activities with the victims are educational, are helpful to them, are necessary for their development.
