Reading through the list of goals on the Reform Sex Offender Laws petition, something strikes you as off when you find comments like...
"6. Support broad sex education for children, and empower them to make their own decisions and stand up for their rights."I guess it never occurs to some of the signatories on the petition to ask: "What does 'sex education for children and empowering them to stand up for their rights and make their own decisions' have to do with reforming sex offender laws?" and for others, it's probably goals like this which are the prime reason they're signing their name to it.
